Who we are
Birding.gal is a brand of the company Habitaq SL led by Xabier Vázquez Pumariño, biologist and ornithologist who works as environmental consultant in Spain and Latin America. He started birding in his childhood, walking for birding in the countryside and mountains of Galicia, mainly in Lugo.
He has published many papers and books about birds, mostly from Galicia and León. Besides he is active in the environmental movement and he writes about nature conservation and other environmental issues in different journals and magazines.
He is the person in charge of the development of the birding tourism for the Galicia Local Government (Xunta de Galicia)
